Each MTB centre also has a welcome point where you can do everything from hiring your bike to getting information about places of interest to visit en route, all available in several languages. Furthermore, these routes meet official quality standards and are completed by accommodation and restaurant options for you to rest and recuperate.

Barcelona Airport – El Prat (IATA: BCN ICAO: LEBL) is the main airport in Barcelona, located 14 km southwest from the city center.

Barcelona airport is the main airport of Catalonia with more than 47 Million passengers in 2017. The other important airport in Catalonia is Girona Airport, located at a distance of 100 kilometers northeast of Barcelona.

There are two terminals at the airport. The T1, which was completed in 2009, is the main terminal. The oldest one is the T2 teminal and currently has no such intense activity as T1. Most flights are covered by low cost airlines. Check Terminals information or Airlines information.

Emergency medical assistance is provided in CAPs and hospitals. CAPs deal with most emergencies during normal working hours.

Outside of working hours, you can go to an emergency primary healthcare centre, which attends to people 24 hours a day throughout the year. These centres work in collaboration with emergency hospital services and the Medical Emergencies System (SEM).

You can also phone 061 (CatSalut Respon), a service that covers the entire Catalan region 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. We recommend you phone an emergencies centre before you visit it, to make sure there are not too many patients already there. There are some 200 doctors, nursers and specialists working for this helpline, with experience in providing assistance on the phone and in writing. In addition, it also has a translation and interpreting service.

Farmacia Central is located just outside the Gothic quarter. They have a great team of staff, ready to advise you on any medical problem that you might have. Farmàcia Coliseum is located very close to Plaça Catalonia. They also stock a wide range of medicines, as well as specializing in homeopathy and alternative therapies. This pharmacy is open from 9am to 10pm every day.Address: Carrer de Balmes, 18.
Farmàcia Nadal is located at the top of La Rambla. It is one of the oldest Pharmacies in Barcelona and still retains some of the original decor. It has a good amount of stock, as well as an attentive group of staff. It is open every day from 9AM to 10PM.Address: La Rambla, 121.
